approach

I utilize an integrative approach informed by solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, feminist therapy, and compassion focused therapy with a strong foundation in mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy. I encourage clients to provide me with feedback so we can tailor your therapy experience based on what works best for you. If you don’t like an intervention, we can try something else! I strive to be inclusive of all identities in my therapy practice and describe my therapeutic style as gender-affirming, sex-positive, kink-affirming, and poly-affirming.

experience

Prior to private practice, I worked for a local college counseling center. In the college setting, I gained experience working with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and adjustment/life-transition issues. I have worked with many clients in areas related to processing gender and sexual identity, coming out, navigating transition, and building self-confidence. While the majority of my professional background has centered around individual therapy, I have also led therapy groups focused on anxiety, gender transition, and substance abuse in the past.
